  11. How do I link my Treo, Blackberry or Smartphone to the flight schedules?

  1. How can I get the most up-to-date timetables?
The newest data is always available for download. You will receive automatic notification when your downloaded data is out-of-date. For a Palm device, you can elect to install the automatic update feature that allows you to automatically receive the newest flight schedules every time you perform a sync.

  2. What platforms can be used to access the e-timetables?
E-timetables can be accessed by pocket PCs, Palm handhelds using OS 2.0 and higher and desktop applications compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, ME and XP.

  3. How can I use e-timetables if I have a Macintosh computer?
While you cannot download the e-timetables to your Macintosh desktop, you can download the data onto a handheld device connected to your Mac.

  4. Which Pocket PCs can be used in conjunction with e-timetables?
Downloadable timetables can be used on the most common devices. Find out which one you have by tapping the start button, selecting "setting," on the "system" tab select "about" and the processor type will be displayed near the center of the screen.

  5. What should I do if I get a message about security settings?
This will only happen on your first visit and you should click "Accept."

  6. I've installed the Palm version but I can't find the application. Where is it?
The application has been installed under the "Unfiled" category and can be accessed by selecting "All" or "Unfiled" from the category drop-down on the home page.

  7. I downloaded an updated timetable but I can still see the previous one. What's wrong?
Sometimes a browser holds a copy of the older file. If this occurs, clear the browser's temporary internet files (under "tools" and then "options") and repeat the download.

  8. While installing the Port Columbus e-timetables on my pocket PC I received a "File in Use:" message. The file "/Windows/MSCEGrid.dll" is in use or is in ROM…What do I do?
The most likely reason you received this message is that the Port Columbus program is currently running on your device. (Under certain circumstances, the file name may be different.) To fix this problem, do the following:
    1. Tap Start.
    2. Tap Settings
    3. Tap the System tab at the bottom of the screen.
    4. Tap Memory
    5. Tap the Running Programs tab at the bottom of the screen
    6. If you see "PCIA Flights" in the list of running programs, tap it, then tap Stop.
    7. You should also see "Installing Port Columbus International Airport E-Timetables" in the list. Tap it, then tap Activate.
    8. You should see the original message. Tap Yes (Try Again). If the message persists, there could be another program using the file. Determine what program it is and stop it in the same way you stopped the PCIA Flights program.

  9. I've downloaded and installed the pocket PC version to my handheld device. I can look up flights, but when I try to add it to my calendar, it doesn't work. What's wrong?
The Pocket PC 2002 operating system has an error so that the interface between VB and the Pocket Outlook Calendar does not work. Download and install any service packs or firmware updates offered by the vendor. Compaq's web page is www.compaq.com/support/files/index.html. After accessing this page, click on IPAQ handhelds. From this page select the "Product", "Model" and operating system of his device, then click "Locate Software." Under "management and system software" choose "IPAQ Pocket PC 2002 End User Update." In some cases there may be prerequisites, which should be spelled out on the screen where you actually do the download. HP's web page is www.welcome.hp.com/country/us/eng/software_drivers.htm. After accessing this page, enter your device name and model number (for example: Jornada 568) and click the submit button. Choose Pocket PC 2002 from the list and look for "MS Pocket PC 2002 EUU2 Update". In some cases it may be necessary to install a firmware update first. Casio's web page is www.casio.com/support/index.cfm?page=/support/Software/cassSoftware.html. After accessing this page, choose the Pocket PC 2002 Update File for the E-200 device.

  10. I've downloaded and installed the pocket PC version to my handheld device, but when I tap on the icon I get a message like - "There is no application associated with 'cmhet.' Run the application first, then open this file from within the application."
The problem is caused by a bug in the Microsoft uninstaller. Most likely you previously installed and later uninstalled an application developed with Microsoft Visual Basic on your pocket PC. When that application was uninstalled, some registry entries that are necessary to run Visual Basic applications were lost. Since the Port Columbus E-Timetables was developed with Visual Basic, those registry entries are required. To fix the problem, please go to this web site: www.nca-corp.com and download and install the utility VBRegFix. Once you have downloaded the file, unzip it and read the instructions in the readme file, which should be placed in C:\VBRegFix on your desktop computer. After you have installed and run the utility, the Port Columbus application should function correctly.
